Today I'm going to let you know about a new book that runs the gamut when it comes to explaining estate planning - from the basics of why and when, to the essential documents, to complex tax laws and techniques. You can pretty much assume that if it has anything at all to do with estate planning, then it's in this book. And the nice thing about this book is that it's not written for attorneys or law school professors, it's written with you, the consumer, in mind.
The book I'm referring to is called Estate Planning Strategies - Collective Wisdom, Proven Techniques. It's a compilation of 96 chapters broken down into 13 distinct areas about estate planning - from an introduction to the basics, to an overview of all types of estate planning documents, to avoiding probate, to understanding estate taxes, to using Revocable Living Trusts, to working asset protection into your estate plan. The chapters have been written by 90 WealthCounsel estate planning attorneys who practice all over the country, and while I do happen to be one of the co-authors, that's not the only reason I'm writing about the book. The main reason is because when I received my copy of the book, I was truly impressed by the wealth of information it contains and how well written and easy to understand each chapter really is - in fact, I even learned a thing or two.
If you're looking for an easy to read, easy to follow, and easy to digest book about estate planning, look no further - Estate Planning Strategies - Collective Wisdom, Proven Techniques will serve you and your loves ones well.
NOTE - I was not paid to write my chapter in the book, nor do I share in any of the profits earned on its sale.- New Book Helps Americans Properly Plan for and Preserve Wealth

Julie’s blog is an excellent source of information on estate planning and related topics. I, too, am one of the co-authors of this book “Estate Planning Strategies – Collective Wisdom, Proven Techniques” and I thoroughly agree with Julie’s assessment of our book. The chapters are very well written and easy to understand. In my opinion, one of the most powerful messages of our book is to allow people to understand how important estate planning is for everyone, not just the “rich”. My co-author, Jill E. Sugarman, Esq., and I work with average families on a daily basis at our law firm in Providence, Rhode Island, Click Here assisting them is protecting their assets from the nursing home and other creditors, while preserving their wealth for their children and grandchildren. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in understanding the value of estate planning. Thanks to Julie and the other authors for their time and commitment to creating this book.
