Back in August I wrote about the "no contest" clause contained in the Michael Jackson Family Trust which could have prevented Katherine Jackson from challenging the appointment of John Branca and John McClain as permanent co-executors of her son's estate. But yesterday Judge Mitchell Beckloff ruled in favor of Katherine Jackson, thereby clearing the way for her to formally contest the judge's choice of a permanent executor without foregoing any portion of her 40% share of the Michael Jackson Family Trust.
On another note, just how much Michael Jackson owed at the time of his death is becoming clearer. Case in point - according to the Associated Press, two claims have been filed against Michael Jackson's estate, one for unpaid legal fees and one for unpaid bills to a hairdresser, together totaling over $243,000, and apparently just the tip of the iceberg.
