On Thursday a new attorney representing Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine Jackson, in the probate of her son's estate showed up in court a little too late - Katherine Jackson's new attorney, Adam Streisand, entered the court room only minutes after Judge Mitchell Beckloff had concluded a hearing in which he granted the current special executors, John McClain and John Branca, permission to make additional deals on behalf of Jackson's estate. It turns out that sometime during the past week Katherine Jackson fired lawyers Burt Levitch and Londell McMillan and replaced them with Streisand, allegedly because her former lawyers were not being aggressive enough in representing her interests.
McClain and Branca really do have their work cut out for them, since a recent review of the Jackson probate court docket revealed that nearly $54 million in claims have been filed against Michael Jackson's estate in the past month alone.
