Michael Jackson's Estate - Is a Will Contest on the Horizon?

On Saturday I reported that Katherine Jackson fired the lawyers representing her in the probate of her son's estate, but it turns out that Mrs. Jackson did not fire at least one of them. According to a written statement, Katherine Jackson confirmed that attorney Londell McMillan will remain as her "personal attorney and counsel" despite conflicting reports that he was fired.

Aside from quelling the rumors that he had been fired, Mr. McMillan was busy over the weekend hinting that a will contest may be on the horizon with regard to the validity of Michael Jackson's 2002 Last Will and Testament. According to Mr. McMillan, there are questions as to the authenticity of Michael Jackson's signature on the will since his brother, Randy, claims that Michael was physically located in New York City on the date the will was signed although the will states that Michael signed it in Los Angeles.

And what about Katherine Jackson's new attorney, Adam F. Streisand, a partner with the Los Angeles law firm Loeb & Loeb, LLP? He happens to be the second cousin of Barbra Streisand and his past clients include the estates of Marlon Brando and Ray Charles as well as an attempt to represent Brittany Spears during her conservatorship days.
