Illinois Estate Tax Update - State Estate Tax Repealed on January 1

It has been brought to my attention that due to the repeal of the federal estate tax on January 1, the Illinois state estate tax has also been repealed:

It has been speculated that the Illinois General Assembly will act sometime in 2010 to bring the Illinois estate tax back, but only time will tell.
