Illinois has revised the payment procedures with regard to Illinois estate taxes. Effective July 1, 2012, estates will no longer send their estate tax payment to the county treasurer's office. Instead, all payments must be submitted to one of the Illinois State Treasurer's offices. Estate representatives are being encouraged to mail returns and payments to the Treasurer's Springfield office, but payments may be paid in person at either office:
