Also, how about more on details like when property is located in a state other than where one is resident at the time of their death?
The difference for estate tax purposes between “real property” and “personalty”? A limited partnership interest in real estate is “personalty,” while direct ownership of real estate is “real property,” with the former possibly escaping estate taxes because it is a matter of where the holder of that interest resided, not where the property is located?
