One of the benefits of using a Revocable Living Trust as the foundation of your estate is that it gives you the flexibility to make changes to the terms of it at any time. But how do you make changes to your trust that will be legally valid?

Trust Amendments and Restatements

In order to make changes to your Revocable Living Trust, you'll need to do one of two things:

  1. Sign a Trust Amendment that's valid under applicable state law; or
  2. Sign a complete Trust Restatement that's valid under applicable state law.
